In pursuit of executing the “Pha Thai Sai Hai Sanook” Project aligned with HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya’s wishes to increase income for local communities and promote contemporary Thai fabrics globally through the tangible joy of using Thai crafts, Mr. Suttipong Juljarern, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Interior, and Dr. Wandee Khunchornyakong Juljarern, Chairman of Ministry of Interior’s Ladies Association, have assigned Community Development Department to collaborate with the project team. Their aspirations are to inspire modern designs through local wisdom revitalization and drive the “Sustainable Fashion” initiative, focusing on crafting environmentally friendly products for makers and wearers.
HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya has bestowed several royal patterns, including “Princess Sirivannavari’s S Motif” in Mudmee, “Princess Sirivannavari’s Batik for the Princess Motif” in Batik cloth, “Princess Sirivannavari’s Thai Sea Motif” in Batik cloth, “Princess Sirivannavari’s Southern Forest Motif” in Batik cloth, “Princess Sirivannavari’s Khit Motif,” “Princess Sirivannavari’s Dokrak Motif,” and the new “Princess Sirivannavari’s SiriVajiraporn Motif,” which celebrates His Majesty the King’s 6th cycle 72nd birthday.
HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya has dedicatedly conducted extensive research on local patterns across the country, infusing them with profound meaning to inspire weavers and craftsmen to uphold their local wisdom in a contemporary approach. HRH The Princess is determined to enhance sustainable income for communities by elevating Thai handicrafts, thereby modernizing fabrics and establishing a significant global presence.
