“Silk Festival 2024 : Silk Success Sustainability”

With pride in Thai fabrics, a fashion show from 16 leading Thai brands at Silk Festival 2024: Silk Success Sustainability was meticulously crafted to celebrate local wisdom in Thai fabrics for global markets and sustainable development. The event was organized by Community Development Department, Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with Ministry of Interior’s Ladies Association. On this occasion, HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya presided over the event and attended the “Sustainable Fashion” show, it is held from November 29 to December 2, 2024, at IMPACT Arena, Exhibition and Convention Center, Hall 6 – 7, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi Province.

The event showcased a Thai fabrics fashion show featuring 16 leading Thai designer brands that recreated the beauty of Thai fabrics in contemporary designs, including SIRIVANNAVARI with silk from The SUPPORT Foundation, TIRAPAN with Maithong Suranaree Mudmee Silk, THEATRE with batik silk from Saloma Batik, ASAVA with Khit Silk from Udon Thani and Silk Organza, ISSUE with batik silk from Raya Batik, WISHARAWISH with Mudmee Silk from Nawha Model, JANESUDA with creative patterned silk, MILIN with Thai hill tribe fabrics from The SUPPORT Foundation, ARCHIVE026 with Thai tweed and creative fiber-woven fabrics, IRADA with Taem Mee silk from Khon Kaen Province, LANDMEE with batik silk from Batik Model, T and T with batik silk from KAYA BATIK, VICKTEERUT with Yok Dok Lampoon brocade silk from Rewat Mai Thai, VATIT ITTHI with Yok Dok brocade silk from Mongkol Montratikarn Weaving Group, PYVET with Mudmee Silk from Nawha Model, and CHAI GOLD LABEL with silk from the new generation designer T. Chattuwan Thaisilk (Mr. Thaweesak Chattuwan). Fabrics from the Handwoven Thai Silk Group are known for contemporary and unique patterns crafted from Isan’s traditional mudmee techniques.

In addition, the event also featured OTOP products from a total of 200 entrepreneurs and manufacturers, along with 50 food stalls for participants to try, taste and shop with promotions throughout the event.
