Natural Handwoven Cotton

Handwoven indigo-dyed cotton is renowned as a signature creation of the Undong-Nong Chaiwan Indigo Weaving Community Entreprise, Phanna Nikhom district, Sakon Nakhon province. All stages of the production process adhere to the principles of “Sustainable Fashion,” a royal initiative of HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya. This initiative aspires to foster environmental friendliness in textile production, ensuring the safety of both makers and wearers. By emphasizing the utilization of local wisdom and natural resources in each area, the initiative maximizes sustainability at every stage of the process. Ultimately, this initiative enhances self-reliance among locals. Highlighted products from this group include shawls and scarves crafted from handwoven indigo and naturally dyed cotton. The group’s signature patterns include the Lan skin scale (monitor lizard) pattern and the turtle scale pattern.
