The “Batik Model to the Global Market” Project, part of HRH The Princess’s “Sustainable Fashion” initiative, is implemented by Community Development Department. It focuses on modernizing local wisdom of 7 leading Batik weaver groups in the Southern region, turning traditional fabrics to contemporary fashion collections. Products from this project are the result of knowledge collaborations among local philosophers, Batik weavers, community members, and The “Pha Thai Sai Hai Sanook” Project team of Thai fabric experts, leading designers, and professionals from diverse fields.
Designed by renowned designers, the “Batik Fashion Collection” offers a diverse range of fashion lines, from everyday looks to contemporary and resort wears. Meticulously blending fabrics, it features comfortable cuts with exquisite jewelry embroidery on both casual and formal attire for diverse consumers. Moreover, it maximizes fabric use to minimize production waste in line with Zero-Waste principles.
