The Craft Community College Project, Donkoi Model and Batik Model Products

The products from the Craft Community College Project, Donkoi Model and Batik Model reflect the royal initiative “Sustainable Fashion” by HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya. Crafted by weavers, artisans, and entrepreneurs, these textiles and handicrafts use eco-friendly and safe processes aligned with the royal concept “Pha Thai Sai Hai Sanook,” including cultivating mulberry for native silkworms, natural dyeing with local plants in each community, replanting dye trees, and creating contemporary branding, conveying the meaningful and deep stories of local wisdom. These efforts certify the quality of the products to meet international standards.

As community development requires knowledge, skills, and collaboration from local people, the Craft Community College Project was established and elevated to a standardized learning center for creating textiles, crafts, and Thai handicrafts. The project integrates knowledge from the “Pha Thai Sai Hai Sanook” working team with local wisdom to produce indigo-dyed and batik fabrics. These efforts enhance the quality and modernity of fabrics and products to meet global market demands. The initiative equips OTOP producers and entrepreneurs with advanced design skills, professional sales expertise, and expanded market channels, advancing Thai textiles for the international market under the concept “Craft Community College”.
