This collection revives traditional fabrics, crafted with natural fiber threads selected from the community, and integrates contemporary aesthetics into the patterns to align with the principles of “Sustainable Fashion,” a royal initiative of HRH Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya.
\nDuring HRH The Princess visit to the Ban Nawha community in Nakhon Phanom, home to the first artisans group of The SUPPORT Foundation, HRH The Princess bestowed regal advice on the restoration of cultivating mulberry trees, raising silkworms, and dyeing fabrics with natural colors from plants in their community. Moreover, HRH The Princess suggested that local weavers enhance the contemporariness of fabric patterns with local wisdom to make them more appealing to international audiences, potentially sustaining economic activities in the community.<\/span>
\nThe “Nawha Fashion Collection” is meticulously executed by six participating community groups in collaboration with creative direction from Thailand\u2019s industry-leading designers.
